Data DividendFree valuation

For manufacturers & industrial companies

Your shop-floor records are the data AI can't find online.

AI labs want real manufacturing records, like work orders, QA logs, spec sheets and batch records, because almost none of it is public. Formulas, customer specs and anything you mark off-limits stay with you.

What's valuable

What buyers want from manufacturers

Records of real work and how it turned out. The more years and the better kept, the more they're worth.

  • Work orders and routings

What was made, how, on which line, and how long it really took.

  • QA logs, NCRs and CAPAs

Every nonconformance, its root cause and the corrective action that fixed it.

  • Spec sheets and engineering changes

How specs changed and why, with customer-confidential detail removed.

  • Batch and production records

The run-by-run record of a real process.

  • Maintenance and downtime logs

What broke, what it cost and how the team got the line running again.

  • ERP purchasing and inventory history

How material planning works in practice.

What labs learn from it

What a lab learns from a failed batch

When a batch fails inspection, your team traces it, finds the cause, adjusts the process and documents the corrective action. An AI that has never seen a real nonconformance report can't do that. Your QA history shows it how, one real case at a time.

  • Root-cause analysis from real records
  • Planning work around real constraints
  • Writing a corrective action that holds

No manufacturing-specific prices are public yet, so these are general figures from other industries. Very little factory data is public, which is why buyers are asking for it. We never promise a number. Value depends on how much data you have, how many years it covers and how well it's kept. Your valuation tells you where you stand.

How it works

Three steps. You approve every one.

You don't need to prepare anything for the valuation, and nothing leaves your company until you've seen it and signed off.

  1. Get a free valuation

Answer a few questions about your company. Within one business day we email you what buyers want from businesses like yours and what drives the price. No data needed yet.

  2. We find the buyer and do the work

We match you with buyers who want your kind of data, then handle anonymization, PII removal and the paperwork. You approve every file and every term before anything leaves.

  3. You get paid

Your company is paid under the license you sign. The buyer pays our fee, so it costs you nothing.

Privacy

What stays with you

You decide what's in scope. These never leave, and nothing goes anywhere without your written sign-off.

What never leaves

  • Formulations, recipes and trade secrets you mark off-limits
  • Customer drawings and specs under NDA
  • Export-controlled technical data
  • HR, payroll and personnel files

How we anonymize

  1. Personal data is removed or replaced with placeholders.
  2. The cleaned files are reviewed, by us and then by you.
  3. Nothing leaves until you sign off in writing.

FAQ

Questions owners ask first

Anything else? Email [email protected] and a person will answer.

Could our formulas or processes end up with a competitor?

Only what you put in scope ever leaves. Formulations, recipes, customer drawings and anything export-controlled stay out. The valuable part is usually the workflow around production (work orders, QA findings, corrective actions), not the recipe itself.

How do you keep our data private?

Nothing leaves until it has been through three steps. Personal data (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, account numbers) is removed or replaced with placeholders. The cleaned files are reviewed, by us and then by you. And you sign off in writing. Customer personal data, privileged or regulated records, and HR and payroll files are left out entirely.

How long does it take, and when do we get paid?

Your valuation arrives within one business day. If you go ahead, scoping and signing usually take a few weeks. Buyers pay once the data is delivered and accepted, typically 60 to 90 days after acceptance, and some pay sooner.

Do our employees need to know?

It depends on the data. Employee names and contact details are removed like everyone else's, and HR, payroll and personnel files never leave. Some material, such as call recordings or staff messages in certain states, can carry notice or consent rules; we flag it before anything is shared. Many owners choose to tell their team, and your counsel has the final word.

What does it cost us?

Nothing. The buyer pays us a fee when a deal closes. There's no upfront cost, and if no deal happens, nobody pays anything.

What if we say no?

Then nothing happens. The valuation is free and commits you to nothing. You can stop at any point before you sign, and nothing is ever shared without your written approval.

Who are you?

Data Dividend is a service of Augment Inc., based in Plano, Texas. We're independent, not tied to any one AI lab or data buyer, so our job is to find the buyer that fits your data rather than to fill one buyer's quota.
